Lovely Places Around Perthshire
The North Inch is a large public park beside the River Tay in Perth, granted to the town by King Robert II in 1374. Balhousie Castle stands on its western edge. Up in Pitlochry, the fish ladder beside the dam has 34 pools that help salmon travel upstream past the dam on the River Tummel.
Around Loch Leven, the Heritage Trail makes a level circuit of about 12 miles from Kirkgate Park in Kinross, with views of Loch Leven Castle on its island and plenty of birdlife. You can, of course, walk just a short section. For more choice, explore members throughout Scotland.
