Coast, Castles and Gardens

In Dumfries, the Burns Walk follows the River Nith upstream from the Whitesands, close to Devorgilla Bridge, which dates back to 1432. About seven miles south, Caerlaverock Castle is a moated castle with an unusual triangular plan.

Kirkcudbright, known as the Artists' Town, has a working harbour on the Dee estuary. Logan Botanic Garden, around 14 miles south of Stranraer, grows palms and tree ferns in a mild climate. Find more members right across Scotland.
