Shoreline Walks and Country Parks
Culzean Castle and Country Park, run by the National Trust for Scotland, covers over 600 acres of woodland and gardens with about three miles of coastline. In Kilmarnock, Dean Castle Country Park is free to visit and has wooded walks around a 14th century castle.
Along the Largs promenade you can walk to the Pencil, a stone tower built in 1912 to mark the Battle of Largs. Troon has a sandy beach with a promenade and seating. Meet more people from across Scotland.
