Mersey Meeting Spots
Sefton Park in south Liverpool covers 235 acres and has a man made lake plus a domed Palm House conservatory from 1896. Down at the waterfront, the Royal Albert Dock warehouses opened in 1846 and now hold the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
On Crosby Beach, Antony Gormley's Another Place sets 100 cast iron figures along roughly two miles of shore. Southport Pier opened in 1860 and is the second longest in Great Britain. Happy to meet someone beyond the Mersey? There are plenty more widowed singles in the UK.
