Brighton's Royal Pavilion was built as a seaside retreat for the Prince Regent, and John Nash gave it domes and minarets between 1815 and 1822; its garden has been restored in the Regency style. In Lewes, the castle built by William de Warenne is one of only two in England with two mottes.
