Valleys Spots for a First Meeting
Caerphilly Castle was begun in 1268 by Gilbert de Clare and is ringed by artificial lakes, with a south east tower that leans outward. In Merthyr Tydfil, Cyfarthfa Park surrounds the ironmasters' castle, now a museum and art gallery, and has a fishing lake.
Ynysangharad War Memorial Park in Pontypridd holds the memorial to Evan and James James, who wrote the Welsh national anthem. Near Bridgend, Bryngarw Country Park has woodland walks beside the Afon Garw. You can also find widowed singles throughout Wales.
